Incidents
October 11
Items were reported stolen from a storage shed on County Road 5130 in West Plains. Three lawn mowers and several power tools were among the items reported missing. The investigation is ongoing.
October 12
Pike Electric reported the theft of items from a company truck that was parked along U.S. Highway 160 in West Plains. The stolen items are valued at more than $1,000.
October 13
A West Plains man reported the theft of a rifle from a utility vehicle that was parked near his home on County Road 6950, while he was working nearby. A report was generated.
A Pomona man reported that his cow had been shot. Deputies responded to the scene on County Road 2150. The investigation continues.
Charges are pending after property damage was reported by a resident on Private Road 6801 in West Plains. Deputies discovered a metal sign that had been damaged at the property.
October 14
A caller reported having her identity stolen. The woman stated that a claim for unemployment was made, using her social security number and maiden name. The claim was denied, and no money was transferred or received. This incident is under investigation.
