May 12
Officer Kerley responded to Ozarks Healthcare in regards to a disturbance. His investigation found a very inebriated father had touched his daughter inappropriately. 
Officer Jacob Beadell responded to Lincoln Ave. for a report of a verbal domestic altercation. Officers interviewed the victim and the suspect, neither appeared to have any injuries, or state any form of physical altercation occurred. This case will be considered close.
Officer Ivie Powell spoke to an individual reporting a possible court order violation. 
Officer Powell spoke to an individual reporting possible financial fraud or scam.
Officer Gill responded to Columbia Street to take a report of a stolen firearm.
Officer Brent Keepes conducted a requested wellbeing check and found the individual deceased.
Officer Nathaniel Siegrist responded to Washington Ave in reference to a disturbance. Officers issued an individual a trespass warning.
Officer Jerry Mingus responded to Fourth Street for a report of shots fired. He spoke with subjects at a residence stating they had a verbal disagreement. Officer’s investigation believed an individual breaking items inside the residence created the sounds heard by others.
May 13
Officer Austin Deshazo took a report of stealing. The matter will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecuting Attorney's Office for review.
Animal Control Officer Brad Jones received information of possible abandoned animals. Investigation revealed two dogs left at a vacant house. He identified the owners, and a report will be sent to the Howell County Prosecuting Attorney for review.
Officer Deshazo took a report of a stolen license plate.
The Howell County Sheriff's Office requested a digital forensic extraction conducted on a cellular device of a non-compliant Missouri registered sex offender. Officers completed the process, and the device and forensic report will be provided to the case agent.
Officer Keepes responded to North Terra in reference to a reported physical domestic altercation between two brothers. After an investigation officers took one individual into custody and placed them on 24-hour hold pending formal charges.
Cpl. Wesley Stuart responded to Lanton Road for an accidental drug overdose. EMS transported the individual for treatment.
May 14
Officer Powell responded to an address on Summit Street for a report of a deceased individual. No foul play is believed to be involved at this time and this matter will be closed.
The Douglas County Sheriff's Office requested digital forensic extractions conducted on three cellular devices as part of an on-going investigation within their jurisdiction. Officers completed the processes, and the devices and forensic reports will be provided to the case agent.
Officer Jesse Martin spoke to an individual reporting identity theft. 
Officer Martin took a report of a stolen vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.
May 15
Officer Powell spoke with the victim of identity theft. The State of Missouri notified the victim that someone had obtained money by using their identity.
Officer Powell responded to Missouri Avenue for a subject loitering and bothering customers at the businesses along with another staying behind the businesses. Investigation learned the second individual had active arrest warrants issued through the West Plains Municipal Courts. 
The Southwest MO Cyber Crimes Task Force received a Cyber Tip Report from the National Center of Missing & Exploited Children, indicating that Microsoft-Online Operations discovered files of suspected child pornography being distributed on their Visual Search platform by a user account. The investigation is on-going.
Officer Shell and Sgt. Reid responded to St Louis St. for a domestic assault report. They arrested one subject and transported them to the West Plains Jail and placed them on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges. Charges will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecuting Attorney's Office for review.
May 16
Cpl. Trent Kinder responded to a business located on Porter Wagoner for the report of a subject pulling out a firearm in the business. They later located the suspect and arrested them, placing them on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges from the County Prosecutor.
Officer Mingus responded N US HWY 63 for stealing report. Investigation found two lawnmowers stolen from a dealership. Further investigation will be conducted by the Detective division.
Officer Mingus responded to Porter Wagoner Blvd for a report of found property. A repossessed vehicle contained a firearm. Officers secured it and placed into safe keeping at the police department.
Officer Shell and Officer Mingus responded to Hubert Redburn for a report of an assault in progress. They later arrested a subject and transported them to the West Plains Jail for booking and placed him on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges. Charges will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecuting Attorney's Office for review.
May 17
Officer Gill responded to Cherry Street for a report of an assault. Due to a lack of a cooperating victim no charges are being filed at this time.
Officer Barrett responded to a business on Kentucky Avenue for a report of a patient escaping. They located the patient and returned them to the business.
Officers responded BB Highway for a report of a suspicious subject. They transported the subject to OZH for medical assistance.
Officer Beadell responded to Lanton Road for a report of a sexual offense. He spoke to the victim and a parent separately before contacting the suspect. This case will be referred to the Prosecuting Attorney's Office.
Officer Mingus took a report of a runaway juvenile. 
May 18
Officer Kerley responded to Casey's General Store on Gibson regarding a disturbance. The investigation found an alleged assault took place. This case will remain open pending further investigation.
Cpl. Micah McKemie took a report of a child custody violation.
