September 22
Officer Dawson Beavers responded to Lexington regarding harassment. During the investigation a son threatened bodily harm to his father.
Officer Beavers responded to Missouri Avenue in reference to a suicidal subject. During the investigation officers discovered an individual with non-life-threatening lacerations EMS promptly transported them to the hospital for treatment.
September 23
Officer Ivie Powell responded to a store located on Preacher Roe referencing a theft report. His investigation found a subject did not pay for all the items in their cart. He issued them a citation to court this matter will be forwarded to the West Plains Municipal Prosecutor.
Officer Beavers investigated an alleged encounter involving an elderly man assaulting his daughter fifty years ago.
Officer Conner Burnes received a report of a nonconsensual dissemination case and responded to Olden. He spoke to a victim reporting that someone shared a fake nude photo of them with others. This case will be under investigation.
September 24
Officer Jacob Beadell responded to Hubert Redburn for a report of trespassing. They transported the subject to the hospital. This case will be closed.
while conducting business checks on Preacher Roe Blvd, found a business unsecured. There were no signs of foul play located at the building.
The Southwest MO Cyber Crimes Task Force received fifty-six Cyber Tip Reports from the National Center of Missing & Exploited Children, indicating that Google LLC had observed files depicting child sexual abuse materials (CSAM) uploaded on their servers by a user account. The incident remains under investigation.
Officer Powell arrested an individual with an outstanding warrant.
Officer Jesse Martin responded to Farmers Insurance on N Kentucky Ave for a disturbance.
Officer Beavers responded to 3rd street for an unresponsive elderly individual. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) pronounced the individual deceased. After investigating, he found no foul play.
Officer Beavers investigated a report of an assault. He found no evidence of the crime.
September 25
Officer Powell took a theft report of a spool of copper wire stolen from a work truck belonging to KIOWA within the city limits of West Plains. This matter remains under investigation.
Officer Powell responded to Private Road 4010 for a verbal domestic. The victim did not want to pursue charges. This matter will be closed.
Officer Brent Keepes responded to FCC Behavioral Health for a runaway juvenile. They returned the juvenile to the facility.
September 26
Officer Daiman Meyer arrested an individual on an outstanding warrant.
Officers assisted the Howell County Sheriff's Office on County Road 8240 for a report of a subject actively attempting to break into a vehicle. They located the subject and released them to Howell County Deputy's without incident. This case is closed.
Officer Burnes received information of a suspected child abuse or neglect case and responded to Olden. He determined the incident took place outside the city limits and referred it to the Department of Social Services and Howell County Sheriff’s Office. This case is closed at this time.
Officer Joseph Tombley took a report of stolen property. The case will remain under investigation.
Officer Mingus took a report of property damage to the window of a vehicle.
Officer Dobbs took a report of a two-vehicle accident with one vehicle leaving the scene. The case remains under investigation.
September 27
Officer Vernon responded to a report of property damage in the area of Worley Drive. Following an investigation, he issued a trespassing warning, and criminal charges will be referred to the prosecutor's office for review.
Officer Robert Shell arrested an individual on an outstanding warrant.
September 28
Officer Martin responded to West Plains Motel, room #43, on Porter Wagoner Boulevard for a report of stealing. The investigation is ongoing.
Officer Martin responded to Meadow Drive for an unsupervised young child in the property's backyard. Charges are being sought.
Officer Tombley responded to State Route K for a domestic altercation. The case will be considered closed due to an uncooperative victim.
Officer Martin took a report of theft.
Officer Shell arrested an individual on an outstanding warrant.
