Officer Joseph Tombley conducted a traffic stop on US Highway 63 and arrested the driver for driving while intoxicated.
Officer Tyler Franks responded to residence in reference to a deceased individual stemming from a medical emergency. There is no evidence suggesting foul play and this case will be closed.
Officer Caleb Kerley took a report of credit card fraud. This case will be referred to the West Plains Detective Division for further investigation into locating and identifying a suspect.
Officer Brent Keepes responded to a residence on Lincoln Street to speak with an individual regarding possible stolen medications. His investigation found a physical domestic altercation occurred between two ex-spouses. The case will be closed, and no charges are being sought due to an uncooperative victim.
Officer Jacob Beadell responded to McFarland Drive for a report of an assault. During the investigation, they reviewed video footage of the altercation. The case will be closed.
May 19
Officer Dawson Beavers responded to Kentucky Avenue in reference to a stealing incident. His investigation resulted in an arrest. The victim refused to pursue charges. Due to this, they released the suspect from custody. This case is closed.
Officer Nathaniel Siegrist took a report of stealing.
Officer Jesse Martin responded to Hynes Street for a wellbeing check. His investigation found the subject deceased from apparent natural causes.
Officer Martin took a report of a court order violation. Charges will be sought.
Officer Kerley responded to Preacher Roe for a private property auto accident with a vehicle leaving the scene. This case will be closed.
Officer Conner Burnes responded to court order violation that took place on Maple St. The party reported the suspect violated a restraining order and alleged several other offenses. This case is still under investigation.
May 20
Cpl. Brandon Stephens conducted a traffic stop on Broadway and arrested the driver for driving while intoxicated.
While conducting security checks, Cpl. Stuart found an open door. He checked the building and secured it.
Officer Ivie Powell took a report of stealing. This matter remains under investigation at this time.
Officer Shell conducted a traffic stop on Porter Wagoner later arrested a subject, placing them on 24-hour hold pending formal charges. Charges will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecuting Attorney's Office for review.
May 21
Officer Powell responded to Locust Street for a suicidal individual. They transported the individual to the hospital by EMS for a 96 hour hold for a mental evaluation.
Lt. Kyle Ellison responded to the area of Linda and Terra Drive to assist the Howell County Sheriff’s Office and the Missouri State Highway Patrol with searching for two suspects who fled on foot after a vehicle pursuit. He arrived in the area and located both suspects fleeing on foot on Katherine. He pursued one suspect to Christpher before apprehending them and releasing them to the Howell County Sheriff’s Office.
Officer Vernon responded to a business on Porter Wagoner for a report of stealing. The store wished not to pursue charges at this time.
Officer Franks responded to a residence regarding a possible domestic altercation. He discovered family issues occurred and no crimes were committed.
May 22
Officer Powell responded to Chippewa for a report of suspicious circumstances. The resident reported they noticed the power cord to his AC unit had been cut and the trim along his doors had been pulled away allowing someone to enter the apartment.
Officers responded to a call at the Walmart Parking lot to speak to a Walmart employee reporting they noticed a young child roaming the parking lot unsupervised. Officers located the guardian and the case will be referred to the Missouri Children's Division.
Officer Katie Sandgren responded to Division Drive for an alarm. She secured the building.
Officer Tombley responded to Dana Street for a report of a previous assault. The case will remain under investigation.
May 23
Officers responded to Hubert Redburn for a possible suicidal subject. They found the reporting party to have an active warrant and transported them to the Howell County Sheriff’s Office.
Officer Beadell took a report of threats of an assault.
Officers conducted a requested wellbeing check on E. State Route K.
May 24
Officer Sandgren conducted security checks of businesses in the Southern Hills Plaza and found an open door. She checked the business and secured it.
Officer Gill responded to Hubert Redburn for a report of an unsupervised juvenile. He located the parent of the juvenile and returned them back to his residence.
Officer Vernon conducted a traffic stop on Broadway. During his investigation he found the driver in possession of drug paraphernalia.
