November 27
Officer Austin Deshazo responded to South Harlin Street for a report of a possible confused person. He discovered an individual experiencing possible medical issues. EMS transported them for treatment.
Officer Ivie Powell spoke with an individual reporting harassment. After contacting both parties and advising them not to contact each other the matter will be closed.
Officer Deshazo took a report of tampering regarding a vehicle parked in an apartment complex parking lot.
Officers received a report of a stolen vehicle from Sixth Street. After speaking with the owner of the vehicle, the case will receive further investigation.
November 28
Officer Martin took a report of harassment from an individual on Cole Street. The investigation is ongoing.
Officer Robert Shell investigated a two-vehicle motor accident at Porter Wagoner Blvd and Gibson Ave. He arrested one subject for driving without a valid license.
Officer Connor Burnes took a report of rape. This case is under investigation.
Officer Burnes received a report of a juvenile in possession of a nicotine product. This case will be forwarded to the juvenile office.
December 29
While conducting business checks, Sgt. Wichowski found an open door at the West Plains Municipal Golf Course. He secured the location.
Cpl. Micah McKemie investigated a report of stealing from a school in West Plains. He identified a suspect and charges will be sought.
Officer Chris Siegrist responded to Lanton Road in reference to an assault. He placed an individual under arrest and will forward a report to the Howell County Prosecutor’s Office for charges.
Officer Brent Keepes responded to Washington Avenue for a report of domestic violence. Investigation found a physical altercation took place and he arrested one individual pending formal charges.
Officer Siegrist responded to Chippewa in reference to an out-of-control juvenile. They took the juvenile to Ozarks Healthcare for evaluation.
November 30
Officer Daiman Meyer received a report from Walmart of stealing. From speaking to the asset protection division, he learned an employee took items without paying for them over a period of time. He issued the employee a citation for the offense.
Officer Barrett responded to Lincoln Avenue for a report of domestic violence. The parties involved reported a verbal argument occurred. No charges will be filed.
Officer Jacob Miller took a report of stealing from Porter Wagoner Blvd. This case will be closed.
Cpl. McKemie responded to Bluebird Way for a request to check the wellbeing of an individual. He found the individual deceased from natural causes with no signs of foul play.
Officer Brixey responded to Thornburgh and Garfield for a report of an adult striking a child. The adult threatened to use force against responding officers. Officer apprehended the adult and charges will be forwarded to the West Plains Municipal Prosecutor.
Officer Keepes received a report of child abuse on Thornburgh. The case will be reported to the Missouri Children’s Division and considered closed due to lack of evidence of abuse.
December 1
Cpl. Wesley Stuart took a report of a juvenile stealing. The case will be sent to the Juvenile Office.
Cpl. Thomas Manning responded to Burgoyne for a report of assault. Officers contacted both parties who requested to pursue charges.
Officers responded to Kentucky Ave regarding a domestic assault. They arrested one individual.
December 2
Officer Meyer responded to West Maple St for an ongoing disturbance. Investigation learned a couple had an argument with one requesting the other to leave but refused to allow them to remove their possessions. The case is open and active pending formal interviews.
Officer Miller responded to Cass Ave for a report of stealing.
Cpl. Manning received a report of stealing. He took one individual into custody.
Officer Mingus investigated an auto accident with one driver leaving the scene.
Officer Shell took a report of property damage. Charges will be forwarded to the Howell County Juvenile’s Office.
Officer Martin responded to Walmart for a report of property damage. The investigation is ongoing.
December 3
Officers responded to a juvenile problem on Saint Louis Street. They transported the juvenile to meet with a juvenile officer.
Officer Siegrist responded to West Trish Knight for a report of a suicidal subject. They placed the individual on a 96-hour mental evaluation hold.
