January 8
Officer Connor Burnes received a report that juveniles had nicotine products. This case is still under investigation. 
Officer Jerry Mingus responded for a juvenile that assaulted a juvenile officer while attempting to detain the juvenile.
Officer Robert Shell took a report of stealing.
January 9
Officer Martin responded to the West Plains Civic Center for a general alarm. Officers conducted a search of the building and located an open door. They secured the door nothing appeared tampered with.  
Officer Austin Deshazo responded to a business located on Porter Wagoner Blvd for a report of stealing. The investigation is open and active.
Sgt. Brandon Romans responded to Bruce Smith Parkway on report of a commercial burglar alarm. Officers found a door open. They cleared and secured the business. 
Officer Burnes received a report of a possible terrorist threat made by a juvenile. This case will be referred to the Juvenile Office. 
Cpl. Wesley Stuart responded to Porter Wagoner Blvd. for a report of a verbal domestic. Investigation found a verbal disturbance only and no physical altercation.
January 10
Officer Daiman Meyer responded to the area of Burgoyne Street for a report of a court order violation. This case is open and active pending a formal interview with the suspect. 
The West Plains Police Department executed a narcotics search warrant located on W. Maple Street. During the investigation, two vehicles that belonged to people inside the residence possessed drug paraphernalia. Officers arrested two individuals and transported them to the West Plains Jail. The individuals were issued a summons and released. Also during the search, suspected illegal narcotics were recovered, as well as four firearms and money believed to be used in the sale and distribution of illegal narcotics. Two people were arrested and transported to the West Plains Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges. 
Officer Deshaze received a report of stealing a credit/debit device. 
Cpl. Manning took a report of stealing. He completed an investigation, and the case will be forwarded to the investigations division.
Cpl. Stuart responded to Nichols in reference to threats being made. The investigation is ongoing 
Officer Meyer responded to Leyda Street for a report of harassment. The victim stated a subject previously advised not to have contact with her had continued to contact her. They issued the subject a citation. 
Officer Martin received a request for a wellbeing check. He spoke with an elderly individual struggling with everyday quality of life issues. He hot-lined the incident for the individual’s safety.
January 11
The Ozark County Sheriff Department requested the assistance of the West Plains Police Department concerning a missing person investigation within their jurisdiction. The investigation is on-going. 
Officer Ivie Powell responded to Kentucky Avenue in reference to a suspect stealing items from the store. Officers located and arrested them for shoplifting as well as trespassed them from the property. The matter will be forwarded to the West Plains Municipal Courts. 
Officers responded to Mitchell reference to counterfeit currency. They seized the currency and completed a report.
January 12
The Douglas County Sheriff Department requested two separate forensic digital extractions conducted on cellular devices as part of on-going investigations within their jurisdiction. Officers completed the process, and the device and forensic report will be provided to the case agent.

Officer Chris Siegrist responded to East Main in reference to property damage. This case will be closed at this time. 
Officer Brixey received a report from Hubert Redburn Drive in reference to a disturbance. They transported a subject to Ozarks Healthcare for a mental evaluation. 
January 13
Officer Siegrist responded to Seminole in reference to a possible domestic violence incident. Officers separated the parties and documented the incident.
Officer Meyer conducted a traffic stop on Gibson Avenue. During the stop he learned the vehicle contained passengers below the legal drinking age of 21 years old and found them to be intoxicated. Officers arrested the individuals and transported them to the West Plains Police Department Jail. 
January 14
Officers responded to McFarland in reference to a sex crime. Officers conducted an investigation and later arrested an individual for enticement of a child under the age of 15.
