July 14
While on patrol, Officer Daiman Meyer, noticed a minor female walking alone down Broadway in the early hours of the morning. He returned her safely to her guardian.
Officer Jacob Beadell responded to Missouri Ave for a report of an assault. Investigation led to the arrest of the suspect. This case will be referred to the prosecuting attorney's office.
Officer Gill arrested one on an outstanding warrant.
Officer Robert Shell responded to Broadway for a report of a disturbance. He spoke with four juveniles regarding the matter.
Officer Nathaniel Siegrist responded to Jon Street in reference to trespassing. Investigation learned the individual suffered from mental and physical ailments. They transported the individual to Ozarks Healthcare and completed an affidavit for a 96-hour mental evaluation.
Officer Siegrist responded to Woods Street in reference to a physical domestic assault. He placed an individual under arrest on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges.
July 15
Officer Jacob Miller arrested one on an outstanding warrant.
Cpl. Trent Kinder received a report on Division Drive for property damage to a wall. A juvenile referral will be completed and sent to the Juvenile Office for review.
Officer Gill received a report for property damage from Debra Drive. This case will be under investigation.
The Douglas County Sheriff's Department requested two digital forensic extractions be conducted on cellular devices as part of an ongoing investigation within their jurisdiction. They completed the process, and the device and forensic reports were returned to the case agent.
Officer Shell took a report of a domestic assault with sexual abuse.
Officer Jacob Brixey responded to Walmart for a report of stealing. Investigation led to the arrest of one suspect with another suspect issued a summons and released on the scene.
Officer Brent Keepes responded to a call regarding a suicidal subject at Fresenius Dialysis Clinic. They transported the individual to the local hospital for a 96-hour mental evaluation hold.
Officer Brixey responded to Harlin Drive for a report of a violation of an Adult Protection Order. Investigation led to the arrested of a suspect and placing them on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges. A probable cause statement will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecutor's Office.
Officer Conner Burnes received a call of medical services requesting assistance for a medical emergency on Gibson. Investigation found an individual reportedly stole an alcoholic beverage and had been told by employees not to return to the store. Officers later released the individual with a summons to court.
Cpl. Thomas Manning arrested one on an outstanding warrant.
Officer Jesse Martin responded to the Baymont Inn for a report of stealing. The investigation is ongoing.
July 16
Officer Austin Deshazo took a report of a domestic assault. This case will be considered closed due to an uncooperative victim.
Officer Burnes received a call for an assault on Worcester. Officers spoke with the juvenile victim who said the juvenile suspect hit and strangled them. The victim did not have any clear injuries and did not seek medical treatment. The victim said they live in a home together with the suspect. The parents were contacted, and this case will be sent to the 37th Judicial District Juvenile Division.
Officer Kerley responded to a disturbance on Porter Wagoner Blvd. The male assaulted his girlfriend, causing no injury. Charges are not being filed.
July 17
West Plains Police Department UAS pilots were called upon to assist the Missouri State Highway Patrol concerning a tactical operation near Alton.
Officer Ivie Powell responded to Kentucky Avenue in reference to a burglary. Investigation found unknown person (s) had broken the front glass door, and after making entry, stole money. This matter remains under investigation.
Officer Kerley responded to a report of stealing. Investigation learned items removed from the vehicle of the reporting party. The case shall remain open pending further information.
While patrolling the area of Nebraska and Cass, Officer Keepes met an individual who witnessed a physical domestic incident. Interviews were conducted and found that a possible domestic incident occurred. No charges will be sought.
Cpl. Wesley Stuart responded to a physical domestic disturbance on Crestwood Circle. Officers took one subject into custody and placed on a 24-hour hold. A Probable Cause Statement will be submitted to the Howell County Prosecuting Attorney's Office seeking charges.
July 18
Officer Dobbs arrested one on an outstanding warrant.
Officer Gill received a report in regards to a terrorist threat post on Facebook. The victim is not willing to pursue charges at this time.
Officer Gill received a report from Washington Ave regarding stealing. A report will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecutor's Office.
Officer Beadell responded to First Street for a reported assault. Officers separated the individuals and EMS checked the victim. The victim did not want to press charges on the suspect. This case will be considered closed.
July 19
Sergeant Wichowski responded to a residence on Crestwood Circle for a report of a suicidal subject attempting to cause self-harm with a kitchen knife. They later transported the subject to the Ozark's Healthcare Emergency Room for treatment without incident.
Officer Beadell took a report of gasoline stolen from a station in West Plains. He identified a suspect. This case will be referred to the prosecuting attorney's office.
Officer Dobbs received a report of harassment. This case is open for further investigation.
Officer Kerley arrested one on an outstanding warrant.
Officer Kerley responded to a requested wellbeing check on Lambert Lane. Investigation discovered an older individual left the residence and made suicidal comments. They located the individual and transported them to Ozarks Healthcare.
Officer Meyer received a report of a stolen vehicle from Missouri Ave. This case will be open and active pending recovery of the vehicle.
July 20
Officer Meyer located an open door on the Missouri State University's campus. He secured the building and contacted the keyholder.
Officer Jerry Mingus E State Route K for a report of an assault. Investigation found an aggressor assaulted a juvenile causing the juvenile to flee the area.
July 21
Officer Deshazo took a report of a burglary that occurred previously. The case shall be considered closed at this time due to lack of evidence and information regarding the burglary.
Officer Shell responded to Lanton Rd. for a court order violation. Charges will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecutor's Office.
Officer Shell responded to East Maple for a disturbance. Officers detained a juvenile and transported them the Howell County Juvenile Office. Charges will be forwarded to the Howell County Juvenile Office.
July 22
Officer Gill received a report of stealing. The status of the event is still under investigation.
Officer Deshazo took a report of stealing from Webster Avenue. The case shall be considered closed.
Officer Kerley arrested one on an outstanding warrant.
Officer Shell responded to Fourth Street for a report of a stolen firearm.
Officer Kerley took a report of a missing or runaway juvenile.
July 23
Cpl. Kinder responded to a business on St. Louis Street for a report of a domestic disturbance. When he arrived, he found both parties had previously left the business.
Officer Kerley arrested one on an outstanding warrant.
Officer Keepes arrested one on an outstanding warrant.
Officer Shell responded to Gibson Ave and Kentucky Ave for a report of an intoxicated male attempting to kidnap a woman's child. Charges will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecuting Attorney's Office.
July 24
Officer Deshazo took a report from a business regarding property damage. No suspect could be identified.
Officer Meyer took a report of harassment.
July 25
Officer Gill responded to Webster Street for a report of a verbal domestic. He separated both parties.
Officer Gill received a report of stealing.
The Southwest MO Cyber Crimes Task Force, HSI-Springfield (MO), and the Ash Grove Police Department, served a residential search warrant on Woodbine Road in Ash Grove, Green County, Missouri. The investigation is on-going.
Officer Keepes arrested one on an outstanding warrant.
Officer Siegrist responded to Lanton Road in reference to an agency assist with Children’s Division. They conducted an emergency forensic interview and examination.
Officer Burnes responded to a call for a shoplifter on Preacher Roe Blvd. The victim reported that three subjects had failed to pay for several items and tried to leave the store. Officers arrested one suspect and later released them from the Police Department. Two juveniles were released on the scene to a parent. This case will be sent to the Howell County Prosecutor’s Office and the Howell County Juvenile Office.

July 26
Officer Meyer received a report of burglary on Porter Wagoner Blvd. This case is open and inactive pending suspect identification.
Officer Burnes received a call for harassment from Kentucky Ave. The victim reported receiving phone calls from a subject who cursed at them repeatedly and screamed at them. They did not want to press charges at this point. This case will be closed at this time.
Officer Burnes received a call for a court order violation on Third Street. The victim reported they were the petitioner in a protection order and the respondent had spoken to them which violated it. This case will be sent to the Howell County Prosecutor’s Office.
July 27
Officer Siegrist responded to North Howell Ave in reference to an out-of-control juvenile. Investigation learned potential evidence of another incident found at the residence. The evidence will be provided to the Howell County Sheriff's Office.
Officer Siegrist took a report of harassment. This case is still open pending further investigation.
Officer Mingus responded to Jackson for a disturbance in progress. Investigation found an individual locked themselves inside a residence after damaging property inside. The subject then fled the scene only to be arrested a short time later at a different location and placed on a 12-hour detox.
July 28
Officer Gill took a report of a court order violation. Charges will be filed with the Howell County Prosecutors Office.
Officer Mingus took a report on Broadway of a domestic assault. Investigation led to the arrest of one.
Officer Siegrist responded to intersection of US 63 and Lanton Road in reference to a suicidal individual. They transported the individual to Ozarks Healthcare completed an affidavit for a 96-hour mental evaluation.
