Officer Jacob Miller confiscated a nicotine vape from a juvenile.
Officers received notice of a possible threat to the West Plains School District. Working with the School District, an investigation determined the threat to be screenshot of the message targeting Mountain Home. The Mountain Home Police Department and School District are already aware of the message. Officers found no threat to the West Plains School District.
Officer Dobbs responded to Davidson for a report of a court order violation. A probable cause statement will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecutors seeking charges for a second offense of the violation.
Officer Jerry Mingus responded to Deatherage for a report of graffiti. Investigation found playground equipment vandalized with vulgar writing and images.

Officer Brent Keepes received notice of a disturbance on McFarland. One individual reported another threatened them with assault. None of the subjects involved wanted to pursue charges.
September 10
Officer Austin Deshazo took a report of stealing and closed the report due to a lack of evidence.
Officer Dobbs received a bike into found property from Lambe Steet.
Officer Robert Shell spoke to an individual regarding harassment. Charges will be forwarded to the West Plains Municipal Prosecutor.
Officer Keepes responded to Lincoln Ave for a report of a physical domestic disturbance. Investigation led to one arrest. The subject was placed on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges.
Officer Kerley took a report from Second Street of property damage. The homeowner reported a shattered glass front door. This case shall be closed due to the lack of a suspect.
Officer Daiman Meyer responded to Burke Avenue for a report of a court order violation. This case will be referred to the Howell County Prosecutor's Office for review.
September 11
Officer Ivie Powell responded to Preacher Roe Blvd. in reference to counterfeit currency. The reporting party advised that an employee accepted a counterfeit $100.00 bill. This matter remains under investigation.
Officer Deshazo received a report of property damage and investigated damage to a vehicle.
Officer Kerley responded to Broadway Street in regard to a child walking near the road by themselves. Investigation found child wandered off from the residence while the was momentarily preoccupied.
Officer Kerley responded to a disturbance on Walnut Street. Investigation found a domestic assault over a child. This case will be referred to the Howell County Prosecuting Attorney's Office for review.

September 12
Officer Powell received an informational report from an individual stating an unknown person offered them money for intimate contact.
Officer Powell responded to Cherry Street for medical assistance with life saving measures in progress. They pronounced the individual deceased.
Officer Chris Barrett arrested one individual for outstanding city warrants.
Officer Connor Burnes took a report of a juvenile with nicotine products. This case will be sent to the Juvenile Office.
Officer Kerley responded to a report of stealing at Walmart. Investigation led to an individual admitting to stealing the items.
Officer Keepes received found property from Beals in Southern Hills.
Officer Kerley arrested an individual for littering items on the ground outside the police department.
September 13
Officers responded to a park for a report of a suicidal male with a knife. Officers talked the subject into dropping the knife. The subject made multiple suicidal statements, and they transported him to a hospital for a mental health evaluation.
Officer Powell took a report of shoplifting from a business on Bill Virdon.
Officer Barrett responded to Allen St. for a report of a suspicious subject on the railroad tracks. He spoke with a male and a female walking on the railroad tracks. While speaking with the male, the female walked away leaving her personal belongings. The items will be placed into evidence for safekeeping.
Officer Powell contacted a subject after receiving reports about a male hanging out near a school. Investigation learned the male had active arrest warrants with one out of the state of Indiana. A probable cause statement will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecutor’s Office.
Officer Barrett responded to a business located in Southern Hills for a report of a disturbance. Investigation found a store employee assaulted a customer and damaged property inside the store. This report will be forwarded to the West Plains Prosecuting Attorney for review.
Officer Kerley responded to Utah Ave. regarding harassment. Investigation learned an individual made statements causing the victim emotional distress. This case will be referred to the Howell County Prosecuting Attorney's Office for review.
Officer Meyer responded to First Street for a wellbeing check. He located the subject transported them to Ozarks Healthcare for further treatment.
September 14
Officer Meyer located a vehicle wanted for investigation regarding a property damage call. Investigation learned the driver operated the vehicle while intoxicated. This case will be referred to the West Plains Municipal Prosecutor's Office for review.
Officer Dobbs responded to Ozarks Healthcare for a report of an assault. A probable cause statement will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecutor's office.
Officer Barrett responded to Jon Street for a report of trespassing. He spoke with an individual who reported his ex-wife harassed him and trespassed on his property. This case is considered closed.
Officer Shell arrested one individual for shoplifting.
Officer Shell responded to Cole St for a disturbance. He arrested one individual and placed them on a 24-hour hold. Charges will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecuting Attorney's Office for review.
Officer Nathaniel Siegrist took a report of property damage.
Officer Siegrist responded to the area of Crestwood and Olden in reference to unsupervised children in the roadway. A probable cause statement will be completed and forwarded to the Howell County Prosecutor’s Office.
Officer Shell conducted a traffic stop on US Highway 63. Investigation found the driver in possession of age-restricted items. They seized the items and arrested the driver. This case will be referred to the West Plains Municipal Prosecutor's Office for review.
September 15
Sgt. Joshua Wichowski responded to a residence on Walnut Street for a report of a disturbance in progress. Investigation found no criminal offenses were reported or observed.
Sgt. Wichowski took a report of a burglary.
Officer Dobbs responded to the area of Carte Square for a report of tampering. The victim reported someone threw eggs at her vehicle sometime overnight. This case is pending further information.
Officer Siegrist responded to the intersection of Myrtle and Saint Louis in reference to a disturbance. An assault case will open pending further investigation.
September 16
The Douglas County Sheriff's Office requested digital forensic extraction on a cellular device as part of an on-going investigation within their jurisdiction. Officers preformed the process, and the device and forensic report will be provided to the case agent.
Cpl. Manning conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle without proper registration displayed. Investigation found the driver’s license to be suspended. During the arrest, they found the driver in possession of a controlled substance. This case will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecutors Office for formal charges.
Cpl. Manning conducted a security check on two individuals loitering outside a closed business. They found one individual in possession of drug paraphernalia.
Officer Mingus received a report of property damage when the owner of a vehicle reported it vandalized by eggs.
September 17
Cpl. Manning conducted a traffic stop and found the driver had a revoked license. During the arrest, officers discovered the driver in possession of a controlled substance.
Cpl. Manning attempted a traffic stop with a motorcycle for a traffic violation. The driver fled. Some time later, officers located the motorcycle, and the driver fled again. Officers discovered the identity of the driver, and formal charges will be sent to the prosecuting attorney.

September 18
Officer Kerley responded to Southern Hills for a report of a disturbance. Investigation found two individuals had a verbal argument. They agreed to separate for the night.
Officer Kerley took a report of a runaway juvenile.
Cpl. Manning took one individual into protective custody for a highly intoxicated state.
Cpl. Manning investigated an alarm call on Kentucky Ave.
September 19
Sgt. Wichowski investigated a report of stealing. He found an individual stole money from a business.
Officer Meyer responded to McFarland Street for a report of a disturbance. He found an intoxicated and suicidal subject in the parking lot area of the establishment. They transported the subject to Ozarks Healthcare.
Cpl. McKemie attempted to conduct a warrant arrest on an individual on Tiffany Street. The subject refused to exit the residence and after several hours, officers entered the residence by force and arrested the individual.
While on routine patrol on Porter Wagoner Blvd, Officer Shell spoke to a concerned citizen reporting they watched a subject make a drug transaction. Officers located and arrested the subject. Charges will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecuting Attorney's Office for review.
Officer Deshazo responded to Missouri Avenue for a report of a belligerent male causing a disturbance. They took the subject into protective custody and placed them on a twelve hour hold at the West Plains Police Department Jail. This case will be forwarded to the West Plains Municipal Courts for review.
Cpl. Stuart assisted EMS with a medical call regarding a suicidal person.
September 20
Sgt. Wichowski conducted a security on an individual sitting outside a business after closing hours. During a consensual search, officers found a controlled substance. They placed the individual under arrest, and charges will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecutor.
While conducting security checks of businesses, Officer Meyer found an open door to a business. He cleared the building and found nothing out of the ordinary.
Cpl. Stephens responded to GreenBriar for a trespassing call. He contacted a male subject who fled on foot. Officers deployed a Taser and took the male into custody. Investigation found the subject had multiple active felony warrants for his arrest.
The Wright County Sheriff's Office requested for digital forensics be conducted on a cellular device as part of an ongoing investigation within their jurisdiction. They completed the process and provided the device and report to the case agent.
Officer Barrett responded to a business on West Broadway Avenue for a report of stealing that occurred on South Thayer Avenue. He spoke with an individual who reported that wallet was stolen out of their vehicle while parked in front of his residence. The individual stated the suspect used his EBT card at a business on Broadway Avenue. This report will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecutor’s Office for review.

September 22
Officer Martin responded to Olive Street for a disturbance in progress with a possible armed subject. Investigation learned an assault took place. They arrested the suspect and placed them on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges.
