January 13
While conducting business checks Cpl. Wesley Stuart discovered an unsecured door on Bill Verdon Blvd. Officers secured the building.
Officer Jacob Beadell located an open door on Butler Street. He could not contact the owner and the building could not be secured.
Officer Austin Deshazo responded to Thayer Avenue for a report of property damage. The report shall be considered closed due to lack of evidence. 
Officer Nathaniel Siegrist responded to East Olden in reference to property damage. This case is currently inactive pending further information regarding a suspect. 
Cpl. Stuart responded to a report of an altercation involving a firearm. Investigation found a subject brandished a firearm and made threats toward several individuals during an altercation. They placed the subject under arrest and transported them to the West Plains Municipal Jail Facility and placed them on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges. A probable cause statement will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecuting Attorney's Office seeking the charges. 
January 14
The Southwest MO Cyber Crimes Task Force conducted an online investigation on the BitTorrent network for offenders sharing child sexual abuse material (CSAM). They began an investigation for a device at an IP address in Springfield associated with a torrent file referencing several files, at least one of which they identified a file of investigative interest to child pornography investigations. The investigation is on-going. 
Office Austin Deshazo responded to Summers Street for a report of two runaway juveniles. Officers located the juveniles. The report will be referred to the Juvenile Office for review. 
The Southwest MO Cyber Crimes Task Force conducted an online investigation on the BitTorrent network for offenders sharing child sexual abuse material (CSAM). They began an investigation for a device at an IP address in the Polk County associated with a torrent file referencing several files, at identified as being a file of investigative interest to child pornography investigations. The investigation is on-going. 
Cpl. Trent Kinder responded to a residence on Bartley Street for a report of a missing juvenile. They later found the juvenile.
Officer Ivie Powell responded to E. State Route K in reference to a possible deceased individual. This matter will be closed due to the victim being deceased from natural causes.
Sgt. Brandon Romans received information of an inmate in the West Plains Jail refusing to follow commands and officers removed them from the jail cell. The inmate later advised officers of suicidal feelings and hit their head against a glass window. Officers placed the inmate on suicide watch. No charges will be being sought. 
The Douglas County Sheriff's Department requested digital forensic extractions conducted on two electronic devices concerning the sexual exploitation of children. The investigation is on-going.
Officer Siegrist responded to Westrock Orthodontics in reference to a domestic assault. Officers place the primary physical aggressor under arrest and transported them to the West Plains Jail for a 24-hour hold pending formal charges. While on scene another assault occurred. They placed the suspect under arrest and booked and released them at the West Plains Jail.  
Cpl. Micah McKemie spoke to an individual reporting a previous assault.
Officer Keepes responded to West Olden for a loose, aggressive dog. He issued a citation to the owner of the animal. 
January 15
Officers assisted the Missouri State Drug Task Force with the search of a residence subsequent to a search warrant. 
Officer Jesse Martin took a report of stealing on Texas Street.
HSI-Springfield (MO), the Southwest MO Cyber Crimes Task Force, and the Stone County Sheriff's Department, executed a residential search warrant on Dexter Lane in Shell Knob concerning the sexual exploitation of children. Officer seized items capable of storing digital and charges are pending the completion of digital forensic analysis. 
Cpl. McKemie took a report of theft on Lanton Road. 
Officer Brent Keepes responded to a report of an assault at the Thrive Home Agency office building. Investigation resulted in one arrest. Charges will be sought. 
Cpl. McKemie took a report of property damage.
January 16
Officer Daiman Meyer identified a subject at an abandoned building. Investigation found officers previously trespassed the subject from the property. 
Officer Meyer conducted a traffic stop on Broadway Street. He found the driver in possession of a controlled substance. This case will be referred to the Howell County Prosecutor's Office for review. 
Officer Powell spoke to an individual reporting an unidentified subject exploited their juvenile stepson. This matter remains under investigation. 
Cpl. Brandon Stephens arrested an individual on an outstanding warrant.
Officer Conner Burnes investigated a report of a juvenile problem. He found a juvenile in possession of nicotine products. This case will be sent to the Juvenile Office. 
Officer Keepes responded to the area of Thayer Avenue for an intoxicated male harassing a female. Officers took the individual to the hospital for 96-hour hold. 
Officer Shell responded to Preacher Roe Blvd for a report of stealing. He arrested one individual.
Officer Keepes responded to Pine Street for a domestic altercation. Both parties separated for the night.
Officer Dobbs responded to S. Howell Avenue for a report of a domestic altercation and stealing. This case is closed pending charges. 
January 17
Officer Kerley arrested one individual on an outstanding warrant.
Officer Powell responded to Lambert Lane in reference to an open line call from 911. Investigation found a conscious individual observed in a vehicle who would not respond to any questions. EMS transported the individual for treatment. 
Officer Powell arrested an individual on an outstanding warrant.
Officer Shell arrested two individuals separately on an outstanding warrant.
Officer Shell responded to Preacher Roe Blvd for a report of stealing. Charges will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecuting Attorney's Office for review. 
Officer Gill responded to Kody Drive for a report of domestic altercation. Investigation resulted in an arrest and formal charges will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecutors Office.
Officer Meyer responded to Columbus Street for a report of domestic disturbance. Investigation resulted in an arrest and formal charges will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecutors Office.
January 18
Officer Gill investigated an assault and turned it over to the West Plains Police Department.
Cpl. Stephens arrested two individuals on separate outstanding warrants.
Sgt. Colter Reid investigated a private property accident. He arrested one individual for driving while intoxicated.
Officer Jerry Mingus investigated a vehicle accident on Lanton Road. He arrested one individual for driving while intoxicated.
Officer Mingus responded to West First for a domestic altercation. Both parties separated for the night. 
January 19
Officer Gill arrested one individual on an outstanding warrant.
Officer Martin arrested one individual on an outstanding warrant.
Officer Barrett arrested one individual on an outstanding warrant.
Officer Mingus conducted a requested wellbeing check. He found the individual deceased. 
Cpl. McKemie investigated a report of an assault. Charges will be sought.
