November 24
Officers Cronin and Bloomer received a call to assist with removing an abandoned trailer at Loves.
November 25
Officers responded to a wrong way driver. The driver, going east on the west side of U.S. 60/63, passed two patrol vehicles with emergency lights and sirens activated before successfully stopping for the third patrol vehicle. Officers determined the driver under the influence and placed them under arrest. All charges are pending at this time.
Officer Jake Cronin responded to investigate a report of a possible motor vehicle crash. He found no accident occurred but issued the driver a citation for driving without a valid license.
November 26
While on routine patrol, Officer Cronin received a found item. Attempts to contact the owner failed, and he placed the item into found property.
November 27
Officer McGinnis and Struble conducted a traffic stop at North Ash and East Main. They found the driver to have an active warrant out of West Plains Police Department and took them into custody.
An individual turned in several items found on Railroad Drive to Officer David Struble who placed them into found property.
Officer David Hocking received a call to a residence located on East Main St. The reporting party advised of possible pry marks on a door and an object slid into the door frame. The report is still under investigation.
Officer Hocking received a call of an individual who took items from Family Dollar located at 503 East Main St. Investigation into the matter revealed the stolen items and the location of the individual on Scott Street. Officers issued a citation for stealing and retrieved and returned the items to the store.
According to information released this week, officers responded to assist 4 motorists, made contact with 6 people needing help or information, conducted 1 building check, checked the well being of 1 person, assisted 4 other agencies, investigated 1 stealing complaint, investigated 2 suspicious circumstances, checked on 1 alarm call, conducted 3 area checks, received 2 animal calls, investigated 1 vehicle accident, conducted 33 traffic stops.
