While conducting a traffic stop for defective equipment, the police officer found the driver had a suspended license. 
 
Calls for Service
September 18
Police officers were called to a Willow Springs location for an alarm.  The officers contacted the owner.  
The police department provided an escort for Yarber Funeral Home from the First Baptist Church to the Willow Springs City Cemetery. 
An individual flagged down a police officer at the MFA parking lot to turn in a found wallet.  The individual stated they had already contacted the owner that the wallet could be picked up at the police station.  Since the police officer was nearby, the individual turned the wallet over to the officer to take to the police station. 
September 19
Police officers went to a residence for a report of someone knocking on an individual's windows.  The officers were unable to locate anyone.  They advised the individual to call the police department if it happens again.
Police officers went to West Main St. for a report of a shoplifter.  Once at the location there was no evidence to detain the individual.
September 20
911 dispatch requested police officers to a location for an individual threatening suicide. 
September 21
A police officer performed a wellbeing check on a juvenile who was reportedly out of control, arguing with his mother, and being disrespectful.  No physical confrontation was reported.
The police department performed a building security check at the golf course.
September 22
Police officers responded to the Snappy Mart for a report of a stolen motorcycle.  Upon arrival, the officers spoke with the reporting party and he stated that the motorcycle had been stolen out of town.  The officers recommended he speak to a Howell County deputy.  While speaking to the reporting party, he requested to be transported to Ozark Medical Center by Emergency Medical Services for mental distress.
September 23
911 dispatch requested police officers investigate a 911 phone call with only static.  Officers spoke with the residents and they stated they had no idea how the phone call happened and that they were ok. 
September 24
Police officers responded to a residence for a reported domestic dispute.
