Area Athletes Compete in Ultimate Warrior Championship

Area athletes competed in the Warriors Powerlifting Federation Ultimate Warrior Championship in Columbia, Mo., Saturday. The youngest member of the Championship meet was Zoi North, 14, of West Plains, who just started training this summer. Her mother, Lisa, said she’d been interested in powerlifting for a few years. “This year has been a difficult one for our family. Her new powerlifting family has been such an encouragement to her.” Fellow Zizzer student, JR Ivester, 15, placed in his age division as well. Other local competitors included team members from FitMiss, Tanai Devine, Bailee Kelly, and Crystal Atwell, who each achieved new personal records.
