Jones named All-State Athlete

In Willow Springs when it comes to girls basketball, the name Chloe Jones typically stands out.

After recently wrapping up the 2024-2025 basketball season, Jones has added more accolades to her already illustrious career, including hitting her 1,000th point and being named an All-State athlete -- an incredible feat for any player. On top of that, Jones has one more year of high school ball remaining.

"Growing up and playing high school basketball in a small town like Willow, a huge goal of mine is to positively influence younger generations, especially in women’s basketball," Jones told Howell County News. "I feel very blessed to be named All-State, but I hope it plays a role of motivation for kids in small towns with big dreams."

For her career to date, Freshman year Jones scored 38 points in one game (top ten in the Missouri Girls Basketball Records), was named Second Team All-Conference and All-District. Sophomore year she set the single season scoring record with 599 points, was named to First Team All-Conference and All-District. This past year, her Junior year, Jones scored her 1,000th career point, broke the school record of most three-pointers in a career with 176, was Conference Player of the Year, Class 3 District Team and District Player of the Year, SCA First Team and SCA Player of the Year along with being named a Class 3 All-State Athlete.

"Being named District Player of the Year is a rewarding feeling, but I believe it’s more of a reflection of everyone who has supported me and helped me reach this goal. Without my coaches, my family, and my teammates, none of this would be possible," stated Jones.

In her spare time Jones plays for the club travel team Missouri Phenom and has played with the team for the past five years. She plays point guard and shooting guard. Jones is the daughter of Butch and Cassy Jones of Willow Springs, Mo. She will graduate with the Willow Springs Class of 2026.
