Lady Bears finish season with a semifinal exit in Districts

The Lady Bears had three games last week. Monday was a pickup game against the Koshkonong Lady Blue Jays. The freshmen Lady Bears team picked up a win against Koshkonong’s JV. The JV Lady Bears would also pick up a win against Koshkonong’s Varsity.
On Tuesday, the Lady Bears faced off against the Mountain View Lady Eagles but fell short in three straight sets. JV also lost in three sets. The losses would conclude the regular season for the Lady Bears, giving the varsity a record of 9-15-4 and the JV 16-6-1.
Tuesday night was also a special night honoring our 5 seniors. Ashlyn Jones was a four-year varsity player who was first team All-SCA and first team -All-District. Hailey Sigman was a three-year varsity player who was also a two-time All-Conference and All-District player. Liz Sheehan was a two-year varsity player and Honorable Mention All-Conference. Connar Lowe and Aubrie McNew were both one-year varsity players.
On Thursday night, the Lady Bears faced off against the Hollister Tigers in the first round of Districts and won in 4 sets.
Saturday would conclude the Lady Bears season as they faced the Mountain Grove Lady Panthers in the second round of districts. They lost in 4 sets. The loss left the varsity with an overall record of 10-16-4.
