A very busy week for the Lady Eagles wrapped, leaving them with a season record of 18-2-2. After three regular season games and a first place tournament win, the Lady Eagles will look forward to a very slow week ahead with only one game against Lesterville on Monday, Oct. 3 and the LHS Volleyball Classic on Saturday, Oct. 8
"Our week is quiet next week so after this crazy week we will plan to find some slow healing training," stated Head Coach Shari Tune. "Practice wise we will do a lot of film study of our current weaknesses, then scenarios in practice to improve those areas."
Beginning the week, the Lady Eagles hosted the Marshfield Lady Blue Jays on Monday, Sept. 26. The C team defeated Marshfield 25-21 with Freshman Kelsey Goldsmith having 4 aces for the game. In JV action, the Lady Eagles fell in two sets 16-25 and 16-25. Junior Kaylie Foster had 10 kills, and 7 digs for the game.

"Last nights competition was really good for us," began Coach Tune when asked about the game. "I thought we battled well, but it was a great humbling experience to see we still have a lot of work to do! I wish we could play that level of competition every game."
On Tuesday, Sep. 27, the Lady Eagles traveled to Cabool for an SCA match-up against the Lady Bulldogs. The JV team split with Cabool in two sets, but won by points 21-25 and 25-10. In Varsity action, the Lady Eagles defeated the Lady Bulldogs in three sets25-8, 25-19 and 25-11 making their SCA record 3-0.
For the game, B. Daniels had 3 aces, 8 kills, and 9 digs; K. Daniels had 3 aces, 11 kills, and 12 digs; Cornman had 1 ace, 2 kills, 9 digs, and 15 assists; Tomey had 1 ace, 8 kills, and 1 dig; Wallace had 1 kill, and 3 digs; Lind had 10 kills, and 1 dig; Wagner had 12 digs; Foster had 1 dig; Tharp had 10 digs, and 11 assists; and Senior Ellie Watts ahd 1 assist.
"Round 3 in the SCA was a good win for us," stated Coach Tune. "The last time we were in that gym two years ago we completely shut down and lost a big game. Last night was good redemption for myself and our program. It was nice to see the girls still compete at a different level, after Monday nights battle with Marshfield."
On Thursday, Sep. 29, the Lady Eagles traveled to Houston to face the Lady Tigers. The night was a victory for all three teams.
The Lady Eagles played a C set, defeated Houston 25-23. Sophomore Kinsey Shoup had 3 aces for the game.

"Tonight was a great example of understanding that we get everyone’s best game," Coach Tune reflected on the win. "It’s good for us to find our mental weaknesses and understand what we need to work on individually, to be able to play as a team."
