Lady Eagles wrap regular season

The last week of games for the Lady Eagles was a fantastic ending to the regular season. Varsity ended with a record of 22-10-1, and the Junior Varsity ended with a record of 17-3-1.
On Monday, October 18 the Lady Eagles hosted Waynesville. In JV action, the Lady Eagles won in two straight sets 25-13 and 25-20. Sophomore Maci Tharp and Freshman Bryleigh Wallace led with 5 kills each. Freshman Kaylie Wagner had 7 digs and 3 aces for the game. The team finished with a combined total of 15 aces.
In Varsity action, the Lady Eagles won after playing four sets 25-8, 25-11, 27-9 and 25-11. Senior Lexi Shumpert had a triple double with 17 kills, 16 assists and 10 digs. Junior Lyla Cornman had 4 aces and 17 assists. That evening the Lady Eagles had their silent auction and quit raffle to help local families battling cancer. The team raised a total of $1,561 and would like to thank everyone for the generosity in donating baked goods, baskets, and helping out.
Wrapping up the regular season, the Lady Eagles traveled to Willow Springs on Tuesday, October 19. The Lady Eagles JV won in two sets 25-13 and 25-20. Wallace and Sophomore Mackinzie Tomey led with 7 kills each. Wagner finished the evening with 14 digs.
"The junior varsity has made some tremendous strides this season," commented Coach Tune. "We are very proud of all of them."
The Lady Eagles Varsity team won in three straight sets against the Lady Bears 25-16, 25-15 and 25-9. Sophomore Bre Daniels led with 8 kills and 3 blocks, Junior Kenzie Daniels had 4 aces and 3 blocks.
