Steve Waggoner Invitational Results

The Thomas F. Benyo Golf Course in Willow Springs Hosted the Steve Waggoner Invitational Cross Country meet on September 9. Both varsity Lady Bear competitors medaled in the race. 
Bethany Waggoner came in 7th overall with a time of 21:44.13. Hailey-Jade Unruh was not far behind in 10th place with a time of 22:57.63. 
Two of the three varsity boys’ competitors from Willow Springs medaled. Sophomore Nolan Perkins placed 12th overall with a time of 19:43.98. Behind him were junior Tristan Silva, 14th, 19:50.79 and sophomore Simon Bolander, 17th, 20:50.16.
The only female runner from the middle school was Kyli Smith, and she placed 31st with a time of 13:05.28.
Four middle school boys ran on Thursday. Seventh-grader Joel Smith finished in 5th place with a time of 10:01.54. Jacob Roberts was 39th with a time of 11:34.18; Aaron Gray was 41st with a time of 11:41.86, and Blayne Altermatt finished 77th with a time of 13:46.13.
