WSHS Golf Team Receives Donation of Clubs

WSHS Golf coach Cole Johnson accepted a donation of several sets of golf clubs for student athletes who may want to play but do not yet own their first set of clubs. Mike and Theresa Connolly from Norwood donated their clubs through Willow Springs Realty, LLC. Moved by the donation, David Dugan of Ozark Mountain Signs donated a men’s left handed set, and then JJ Vlade of the Ozark Horse Trader, took it upon himself to collect a couple of sets from the West Plains golf course members as well.

The WSHS golf team kicked off its season on March 29 at the Mountain View Invitational followed by the Thayer Invitational on March 30. Golf fans can come out to support the team at their first home match on Tuesday, April 6 beginning at 4:00 p.m. at the Thomas F. Benyo Golf Course in Willow Springs.
