Zizzer Ballpark Grand Opening

The new Zizzer Ballpark held an official ribbon cutting ceremony on September 17, 2024. Major upgrades to the previous baseball field were celebrated as it has become a combination baseball and softball field.

The previous dirt infield and grass outfield have been replaced by beautiful bicolored turf. Portable fences are in place to convert the field to regulation size for softball season. A new fence surrounding the entire field was installed. Updates were made to the dugouts and bullpens for both the home team and visitors side. This project was made possible by the West Plains R-VII Board of Education, the West Plains High School Administration, and the Zizzer Baseball and Zizzer Softball coaching staff.

The Greater West Plains Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting to celebrate the new ballpark.
