110 kids ‘Shop with a Cop’

Over a hundred local children converged on the West Plains Walmart Saturday night to participate in annual Shop with a Cop event. According to a release from Howell County Sheriff's Office, 110 kids between the ages of three and 12 participated and had an allotment of 175 dollars to spend.
This event is sponsored by the Fraternal Order of Police, Missouri Lodge #43 in conjunction with Wal-Mart of West Plains. Funding for the event is raised with donations and fundraisers throughout the year.
Personnel with the Howell County Sheriff's Office, West Plains Police Department, Mountain View Police Department, Missouri State Highway Patrol, Missouri Department of Conservation, Missouri State Fire Marshal's Office and State Fire Marshal Tim Bean, South Howell County Ambulance, Air Evac Lifeteam, West Plains Fire Department, Howell County Rural Fire Department, Pomona Fire Department, and 37th Judicial Circuit Juvenile Office participated in the event.
