Do you want to learn how you can manage nuisance wildlife in the yard, garden and on the farm? Then this program may be of interest to you. Trapping is a historical part of our heritage. In the past, individuals depended on trapping to remove unwanted animals, protect domestic animals and provide a source of food and income. Today, we still have the need to protect our livestock, keep nuisance animals out of our garden and remove unwanted wildlife living close to our homes. As wildlife populations adapt to living in close proximity with us, the need to remove these animals is still with us. This course will teach you the skill of trapping and removal of nuisance species. Then, what do you do with an animal after you catch it. Scott McWilliams, Wildlife Damage Biologist with Missouri Department of Conservation will cover all these topics and more on Thursday, Feb. 15 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. This is a free event, but pre-registration is requested. If you have questions or want to register call the Howell County Extension office at 417-256-2391.
