USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) seeks nominations of individuals qualified to serve on the American Egg Board, a producer-supported trade association for the research and promotion of eggs.
A qualified individual is one who owns at least 75,000 laying hens (or represents the owner of 75,000 hens), and who participates in the mandatory industry checkoff which supports the work of the American Egg Board.
In accordance with USDA policy, the agency requests that consideration be given to the inclusion of diverse individuals on the Egg Board, including women, minorities, individuals with disabilities, persons of all ages and levels of experience, those with varying sizes and types of operations, etc., provided they are qualified producers or representatives of producers.
For more information on qualifications or other questions about the American Egg Board, please contact Jo Manhart, Missouri Egg Council, (573)874-3138. Deadline for nominations is November 16, 2020
