DeAnn Sellers promoted to Student Support Services Administrator

The Junction Hill C-12 School District recently announced the promotion of DeAnn Sellers to the newly created position of Student Support Services Administrator. This position includes leadership administrative roles of instructional coach, mentorship, professional development and student services.
Sellers is uniquely qualified for this position through her years as a teacher, counselor, and trusted assistance to the administrative team at Junction Hill.
Sellers has a well-rounded educational background. Her education includes a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas A&M University, she obtained her Teacher Certification from Missouri State University, and a Master of Science in Counseling and Specialist in Education (EdS) in Special Education and Assessment from Missouri State University.
Sellers began her career as an educator at Junction Hill in 2009 as a 3rd grade teacher. After four years in the classroom she transitioned into the role of school counselor in 2013. She has served students and families in that capacity until this time.
Her roles have been many and varied while at Junction Hill. In 2022, she expanded responsibilities by becoming the district’s School Psychological Examiner. She has taken on numerous leadership roles. These have included serving as the District Testing Coordinator for state assessments, 504 Coordinator, and Homeless, Foster Care, and English Language Learner (ELL) Liaison, and many other tasks. This was done while working tirelessly with her fellow teachers and staff to advocate for students’ academic, social, and emotional needs.
Sellers is the proud mother of five sons; Joe (and wife Morgan), Lance (and wife Casi), Wyatt, Nate, and Gabe, as well as four grandchildren; Lily, Linc, Madelyn, and Laurel.
"The Junction Hill School District along with the Board of Education are excited about continuing to work with Sellers. She is an important part of the district's success in education and school climate. This new role will expand upon that base of success and the district is excited to continue improving upon what we do for the kids of our district," said the district in a release.
