Donations Needed For MVBT R-III Kick Off

The Mountain View-Birch Tree R-III School District will be kicking off the 2021-2022 school year on August 17 at Liberty's football field from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The school district needs help from businesses, agencies, and individuals in the community to make the event a success.
Stations will be set up all around the track to provide information, support, and school supplies for students and their families. Teachers will be there to meet and greet their students.
According to a statement from the school district, many students' families spend at least $30 for each child's supplies every year. The Back to School Fair will not take place this year, so the Kick Off event is intended to help out as many families as possible.
Drawings for gift cards and prizes would also be greatly appreciated. Suggested gift card ideas include: restaurants, gas cards, groceries, utilities, passes to school or community activities, clothing stores, farm stores, hair care, shoe stores, cosmetics.
If any business, church, individual, or agency would like to be involved in the MVBT Back to School Kick-off, please contact Lanna Tharp at 417-934-5408 or ltharp@liberty.mvbt.k12.mo.us as soon as possible.
