Grizzlies to compete in national e-sports playoffs

It's playoff time for the Missouri State University-West Plains (MSU-WP) Grizzly eSports team, and everyone is invited to come to watch the Grizzlies compete in the first round of NJCAAE action.
Grizzly eSports Head Coach Alex Pinnon said the team will host a playoffs watch party Nov. 30 in the Carol Silvey Student Union at Hass-Darr Hall. Pizza will be served beginning at 4:30 p.m.
At 5:00 p.m., Zahren Whited, West Plains, will compete in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. At 6:00 p.m., Brock DeWeese, West Plains, and Spencer Spreutels, Koshkonong, will compete in the first round of Call of Duty: Warzone.
At 6:00 p.m. Dec. 1, the team will stream the first round of Mario Kart playoffs in Melton Hall Room 101. Everyone is invited to attend.
"In our first year, the Grizzlies are reaching the national playoffs," Pinnon said. "Normally, it takes a couple of seasons for a program to establish itself, but our players have proven to be some of the best in the nation."
