Texas County Technical College announces Accelerated LPN to RN Class of 2020

After 61 credit hours and over 450 clinical hours in healthcare facilities, fourteen Accelerated LPN to RN students can now take their licensure exam and join the ranks as Registered Nurses (RNs). Prior to this year-long program, the students were Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) who decided to further their education and advance their career.
The TCTC Accelerated LPN to RN Class of 2020 is: Cherish Bridges, Ft. Leonard Wood, MO; Miranda Brooke, Hartville, MO; Brittany Land, Salem, MO; Jerid Land, Salem, MO; Bobbie Martin, Ava, MO; Andrea Massey, Hartville, MO; Logan Pogue, Salem, MO; Kerri Pruiett, West Plains, MO; Laura Scott, Mountain View, MO; Christine Strange, Steelville, MO; Amber Tharp, Mountain View, MO; Patricia Vernon, Camdenton, MO; Amanda Willbanks, Willow Springs, MO and Jasmine Wirth, Willow Springs, MO.
For the Accelerated LPN to RN Class of 2020, graduation day looked a little different than they pictured. Due to the coronavirus and social distancing guidelines, the college had to restructure the 2020 spring graduation ceremony. The faculty and staff still wanted to celebrate the graduates for their hard work, so on April 29th, 2020, the fourteen graduates were recognized during a virtual ceremony with friends and family tuning in from all over. During the ceremony, Logan Pogue gave the opening and closing prayers; Sue Hudson, Assistant Director of the LPN and LPN to RN programs, was selected to be the guest speaker; and Patricia Vernon was selected to represent the class as speaker.
The college is now accepting applications for the May 2021 Accelerated LPN to RN program and the August 2020 Practical Nursing (LPN) program. If you are interested, TCTC staff is available to answer questions via phone call (417-967-5466) or email (info@texascountytech.edu).
