Webb Led the Ticket For Willow Springs School Board

A new face on the Willow Springs School Board led at the polls on June 2. Adam Webb received a total of 460 votes, 42 more votes than his closest competitor.
When he saw he received far and away more votes than anyone else, Webb said he was “baffled.”
“Growing up in a community, you know a lot of people, so there’s a sense of hope but nervousness,” he said, concluding simply, “It’s a good community.”
Webb is no stranger to service on boards and committees. Throughout the years, he has served on the Texas County Cattlemen’s Board, the Outing Club Board, the MFA and FFA boards, and has even been an advisor at the school.
Webb is also a firefighter. He is the Fire Chief of Tyrone and serves on the Willow Springs Fire Department.
Starting out on the School Board, Webb says he is beginning without really any expectations.
“There’s going to be a lot to learn, a lot of studying to do,” he commented, “I will have to learn policy and get caught up as fast as I can. For right now I want to see how things lie.”
A Willow Springs native, Webb will be serving alongside Board members who coached or taught him when he was in school himself.
“Coach Colley coached basketball. I saw him around the gyms, or in PE in high school,” he recalled, “Mac Gum was a coach of mine. I never thought I’d be on the same aspect as them. It’s kinda neat.”
