WS schools announce bus route changes

Willow Springs R-IV Schools will be making some adjustments to daily bus routes for the 2026–2027 school year, the district announced last week. 

 

Beginning August 11, families affected by route changes will receive a phone call with information specific to their bus route. 

 

In the August 5 statement, the district says the changes are due to declining ridership, longstanding school bus driver shortages, and limited transportation funding statewide.

 

“The safety of our students and staff remains our top priority, and we will continue to evaluate and improve our transportation services while following recommendations and guidelines from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education,” reads the release.
