Bill Bridges takes helm at TCMH with CEO exit

Following a meeting of the Texas County Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees on Tuesday, Feb. 6, Stace Holland is no longer employed at TCMH. Holland was chief executive officer at TCMH, a position he assumed in November 2022.

Board members unanimously voted in favor of the employment decision. Following the vote, the board appointed Bill Bridges as interim chief executive officer to oversee the hospital's daily operations. Bridges has worked at TCMH for 33 years and has most recently served as the director of emergency medical services.

The TCMH Board of Trustees released the following statement on Wednesday. “We have and always will try to do what’s best for the employees and the patients of this hospital.” Board members asked Bridges to assist them in moving the hospital forward during the transition.

Retention and recruitment of medical staff are top priorities at TCMH. The surgery department completion and other projects will continue as planned.
