250 Years of Freedom Art Contest

'What does Freedom look like to you?' - an art contest, will be open to all Howell County students grades first through twelfth, in public, parochial, private, and home schools.

Students may pick up a canvas at the West Plains Public Library now until June 30. By June 30, students are to turn in their completed project back to the library.

Judging and award presentation will take place on Wednesday, July 1 at 4:00 p.m. at the West Plains Public Library.

Students are asked to indicate the title of the piece, their name, grade, and contact number on the back of each canvas submitted.

Two hundred fifty years ago, the Founders of this country gave the greatest gift of freedom. It is the hope of the United Federated Republican Women to instill in the youngest patriots the importance and responsibility of being an American by expressing their ideas through thoughtful art.
