Baled late, fed smart: Making the most out of low-quality hay

Elizabeth Picking, Field specialist in Livestock, University of Missouri Extension, will host a workshop at Gainesville Livestock auction Thursday, Oct. 30, 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
 
“Baled Late, Fed Smart is a workshop that teaches how to make the most out of low-quality hay. Topics discussed include Filling the gaps: supplements for better hay utilization: how your cow herd utilizes sub-par hay: prepping our soil for the best hay,” said Picking. 
 
Baled late, fed smart workshop will cost $10.00 per person and includes dinner and any take home materials.   You must register no later than October 25 for the October 30th class.
