Donations sought for vision screenings for kids

The Willow Springs Lions Club is now part of a state-wide program that provides free vision screening and optometrist visits to Willow Springs and to surrounding communities.
Lions KidSight USA vision screenings are fast, touchless and free! The screenings screen for near-sightedness, far-sightedness, astigmatism, misalignment of gaze, unequal pupils, cloudy lens, and unequal vision.
Screenings will be held for kids in Heart Start, daycare centers, preschools, K-3 elementary kids and at scheduled community events. Please consider donating to this program. All funds will be used locally. Donations support annual screening in Willow Springs and vicinity including West Plains, Mountain Grove, Cabool, Houston, Mountain View, Birch Tree and other nearby communities; initial optometric visit and eyeglasses for eligible kids; purchase of WelchAllyn Spot Vision Screener Camera ($8,000); and promotional material and travel expenses.
