Free e-waste recycling event in West Plains

The South Central Solid Waste Management District is partnering with the city of West Plains to host an electronics waste collection event free of charge to residents of Douglas, Howell, Oregon, Ozark, Shannon, Texas, and Wright counties. The event will be held at the West Plains Materials Recycling Facility (Transfer Station) located at 1853 Old Airport Road.

 

The event will be held on Saturday, April 12 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Items accepted to include: computer, monitors, cables/wires, televisions, VCR/DVD players, most appliances, stereo equipment, office equipment, cell phones, etc. If it ran with a cord or battery, it will be accepted. No items with refrigerant will be accepted.

 

This event is first come, first serve, until the transport truck is full. Data destruction and electronic recycling services provided by Computer Recycling Center, NAID AAA Certified.
