The Assumption Abbey fruitcake is a rich two-pound fruitcake made under the supervision of the Trappist Monks at Assumption Abbey near Ava, Mo. Their recipe was given to them by world class chef, Jean-Pierre Auge, who at one time served in the royal employ of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor. The monks describe the fruitcake as a “dark, rich, traditional style of fruitcake.”
Purchase your fruitcake from the Ladies Guild of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Willow Springs, Missouri for $30 each.
