I Ran From the Cops 5k Sept. 13

The Willow Springs Chamber of Commerce announces the return of the fundraising event that supports the Willow Springs Police Department. The “I RAN FROM THE COPS” 5K event has a new date. This has traditionally been run on July 4, but the heat and early hour limited the ability for some to participate. The chamber has moved the event to Saturday, Sept. 13 with a check in time of 7:00 a.m. and a start time of 8:00 a.m. The hope is that this allows more people to participate.

This event has a fabulous 5k route the participants enjoy. It also includes a 1 mile walking route for those who do not enjoy running.

The entry fee is $30 and includes a backpack with goodies inside. Prizes will be awarded to the top three entrants in their age groups. Age Groups include: 12 & under (Male & Female), 13-15 (Male & Female), 16-19 (Male & Female), 20-29 (Male & Female), 30-39 (Male & Female), 40-49 (Male & Female), 50+ (Male & Female).

Registration is available online at wschamber.net or by stopping into the Chamber of Commerce office located at 209 E Main St in Willow Springs. For questions, please contact the Chamber at 417-469-5519 or email at willowspringschamber@gmail.com.
