Job Fair in Willow Springs TOMORROW

The Willow Springs Chamber of Commerce is hosting a walk up hiring event in the parking lot of City Hall at 900 Main Street in Willow Springs on August 26 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

According to Chamber President Kim Fredrick, seven employers will be on hand looking to fill 170 positions. Local employers will be represented as well and include: CamCorp, Midwest Walnut, Willow Springs R-IV School District, and Coastal FMC. 

President Fredrick called the event, “a chance to connect with local employers about their open positions.”

According to Donna Parrott of the South Central Workforce, the benefit to an in-person hiring event of this sort is to facilitate in-person communication between employers and potential employees. Meeting needs of both employers and employees in today’s rapidly changing work environment can be accomplished more easily this way than via an impersonal application process. 

A similar event in West Plains in July was hugely successful, connecting dozens of successful job seekers with employers.
