As we near summer officially, it’s time to think about Kids Art Camp!!!! This has been a fun event hosted by the Willow Springs Arts Council for many years and an enjoyable art experience for the kids!!!! This year, through a kind donation by the Eleven Point Fire Department and Pizza Americana, the WSAC is able to offer the classes FREE OF CHARGE! (Thank you, Mr. Grinch!!!!)
The only requirement is to sign your kids up before July 7. Register at the Ferguson Building during their regular business hours M-F from 9am to 4pm, or register online through a link on the Willow Springs Arts Council Facebook page.
The theme this year is “Be Bold and Courageous” in honor of our firefighter sponsors. And veteran teacher, Mrs. Ginny Thomason will be teaching all the classes.
Camp will be held upstairs at the Ferguson Building and run from 1pm to 3pm each day. The first session will begin on July 8th and run through July 10th.
It is available for campers who have finished Kindergarten up to in High School. This session will consist of painting with mixed medium and learning about color and perspective. Each day will be a different project.
The second session will be for a little older group (ages 10 through High School). It will start on July 15th and run through the 17th. Participants will learn how to work with chalk pastels, watercolor and oil pastels.
Class sizes will be kept to 25 students. So, please register early to ensure a seat.
