Mountain View Alumni Association to meet July 4

Join the Mountain View Alumni Association for a fun filled day on Saturday, July 4. Festivities will start at 10:00 a.m. and run through 4:00 p.m.

 

There will be drop in visiting and socializing, a business meeting at 1:00 p.m., and class photos at 2:00 p.m.

 

Finger food and appetizers with coffee, tea and more will be provided. All MVHS classmates, spouses, friends, and teachers are invited to drop in and stay a while. Feel free to bring photos and memorabilia to share and discuss. Honor classes are 1946 (80th), 1956 (70th), and 1966 (60th).

 

In lieu of dues, this year the association will be accepting donations to cover hospitality room and snacks. Scholarship donations will be accepted also. This year's scholarship recipients are Sarina Cox, McKenna Mourick, Yayla Yvonne Cherry, and Brayden Milton Mays.

The association encourages everyone to come and stay a while the town will be bustling all day.

 

In honor of America’s 250 celebration, Mountain View will offer something for everyone. There is a free pool day, events at Wayside Park, a car show at SBU, food trucks, and many stores/restaurants will be offering extended hours and specials. There is a Fourth of July Parade at 6:00 p.m. followed by fireworks. More events are being planned by the Mountain View Chamber of Commerce. This should be a day of fun and remembrance. Please plan to attend the alumni hospitality and come and go with friends and family to the city wide events. Use the community center as your base and visit with former classmates.
