Mtn. View-Birch Tree School Board to set tax rate

The Mountain View-Birch Tree R-III School District Board of Education will hold a tax rate hearing on Thursday, Aug. 14 at the Liberty Middle School Media Center. The meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m.
The meeting will begin with the presentation/overview of tax rates and then the board will listen to the statement of any person speaking his/her opinion on the school tax rate.
Following adjournment from the tax rate hearing, the board will then move on to the regular meeting agenda which includes: a monthly financial report; setting tax rates for 2025-2026 school year; revising salary protocol; policy discussion and approval; principals' reports on each of their buildings and closed session pursuant to RSMo 610.021 (3) Hiring, firing, disciplining or promoting of particular employees.
