Spooktacula VIII at the Star Theater Oct. 19

It’s that time of year to enjoy fall activities, and what could be more fun than a Halloween themed concert? The Southern Ozarks Community Orchestra is excited to present Spooktacula VII at the Star Theater on Saturday, Oct. 19. The fun will begin at 7:00 p.m. and tickets are $10 for adults. Children under 12 will be admitted free of charge, and everyone is encouraged to come in costume.
Spooktacula is a long-time favorite concert and features wonderful seasonal selections. Traditionally, the theater is decorated and orchestra members are in costume. This year’s concert includes “Once Upon a Midnight Grimm” by Paul McGraw, “Highlights from Wicked” by Stephen Schwartz, “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald” by James Howard, “Godzilla” by Alex Desplat, “Sorcerer’s Apprentice” by Paul Dukas, “A Rockin’ Halloween” by Michael Story, and many other fun favorites sure to delight audience members of all ages.
The Southern Ozarks Community Orchestra is in its 15th year and is sponsored by the Willow Springs Arts Council. The orchestra is directed by Jodie Forbes and includes musicians of all ages from the surrounding area. This is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a live musical concert close to home.
