Valentine’s Benefit in Thayer

The George D Hay Society of West Plains will hold their Valentine’s Day benefit on February 12 at 6:00 p.m. at the Thayer Senior Center at 100 Chesnut Street.
Beans, cornbread, chili, drinks and dessert will be served. Tickets for the meal and entertainment will be $8. All donations will be appreciated.
Entertainment will be provided by Eric Lewis and New Kentucky Colonels and guests.Awards will be presented, and all proceeds will go to the George D. Hay Society to further their work preserving the Ozarks connection to the Grand Ole Opry. Mr. Hay attended a cabin hoedown at a cabin at Old Town, Missouri just below Thayer in 1919 where he got his inspiration for the Grand Ole Opry.
