The Willow Springs Historical and Genealogical Society, located in the Sass House across from the public library, is a treasure trove of information about the history of the Willow Springs community. Years of painstaking research and collection, careful preservation, and artistic presentations create a space that transports patron's into the community's past.
The property is managed by the Willow Springs Community Foundation, which was forced to close the collection to the public due to the recent pandemic. The Foundation is eager to re-open the exhibit and is currently seeking volunteers to serve as guides. If you have an interest in history, and are able to volunteer three to four hours a week, please contact Dean Aye at 417-469-1400 or stop by the Ferguson building on Main Street.
