20-year-old arrested in crash that killed toddler

West Plains Police announced Monday morning the arrest of Russell L. Quinn, 20, of West Plains. Quinn is accused of leaving the scene of an accident that resulted in a death. On Thursday, officers with the West Plains Police Department responded to the 800 block of Lanton Rd. for a report of a small child who had been struck by a vehicle. 

 

The driver fled the scene prior to the arrival of law enforcement. 

 

The victim, a one-year-old girl, passed away on Friday, confirms the police. 

 

On Saturday, officers located and arrested Quinn. He is being held on a $100,000 bond.
