City governments
Willow Springs
The mayor's seat and two aldermen positions will be on the ballot on April 4. Mayor Brooke Fair's two-year term is set to expire. Aldermen seats currently held by Danny Bradley and Phil Knott seats will also be on the ballot. 
The mayor of Willow Springs conducts meetings of the Board of Aldermen and casts only tie-breaking votes. The stipend for this position is $80 per month. Aldermen meet on the third Thursday of the month, but can convene for special meetings as necessary. Aldermen draw a stipend of $75 per month. 
Candidate filing will begin on Dec. 6 and last through Dec. 27 at 5:00 p.m. Filing will be available during regular hours at Willow Springs City Hall. 
Mountain View
In the municipal election on April 4, there are two aldermen whose terms will expire. West Ward Alderman Punkie Stevenson and East Ward Alderwoman Laura Wagner are both currently serving two-year terms set to expire. Aldermen in Mountain View meet once a month, but can be convened for special meetings at their own discretion. 
The stipend for this public office is $23.08 per week.
Candidate filing will be open from Dec. 6 through Dec. 27 at Mountain View City Hall.
School boards
Willow Springs
Filing will run from Tuesday, Dec. 6, through Tuesday, Dec. 27 for the three seats up for election in April. Board members whose three-year terms are set to expire are Brent Colley, Matt Hobson, and Adam Webb. Interested candidates should file in the central office, which is located in the Hicks House on the main campus. 
Mountain View-Birch Tree RIII 
There are three seats available for election in the municipal election on April 4. Seats currently held by Eric Wells, Shelly Mantel, and Keith Tharp will be up for election.
Candidate filing will begin on Dec. 6, at 8:00 a.m. and will continue during the district's regular business hours which are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Filing will not occur on days that the school district's offices are closed due to inclement weather.
Filing will not occur from Dec. 19 through 26 when the school district's offices are closed for holidays: The district office will be open from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the last date to file, which is Dec. 27.
West Plains R-VII
School board seats currently held by Christena Coleman, Reid Grigsby, and Lee Freeman are up for reelection. Candidate filing opens at 8:00 a.m. on Dec. 6 and runs through Dec. 27, 2022 at 5:00 p.m.
