Charges Filed in Shannon County Murder

On Saturday evening, August 8, Shannon County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a male caller who reported that a man was laying in the road on E Highway. The reporting party told officers that the caller’s wife was in the process of performing CPR. First responders, EMS, Shannon County authorities and other necessary agencies were contacted, and requested to be dispatched to the scene.
A Shannon County Deputy arriving on scene found Allan Brewer, of Eminence, to have suffered multiple gunshot wounds, read a press release. EMS took over attempted resuscitation upon arrival. Witnesses gave a description of the vehicle that they observed leave the scene quickly. This vehicle description and time-frame matched descriptions given by witnesses along the route of travel. Witnesses came to the Sheriff’s Office to file written statements as well.
Missouri State Highway Patrol/D.D.C.C. Investigators were called in to Assist, due to the expanse and nature of the event. Coroner Sam Murphy, along with EMS technicians, announced the time of death at 9:12 p.m.
After pursuing the evidence obtained, two suspects were taken into custody on Sunday evening, On August 9, Shannon County Prosecuting Attorney, Jodie Brumble filed charges of second degree murder and armed criminal action against Daymond Reeves, 21, whose address is undisclosed. Originally held with no bond, Reeves is scheduled to appear before the Honorable Steven Lynxwiler for a bond review hearing on August 20.
