Married couple Donald and Alicia Worley have resigned from their respective positions with the City of Willow Springs. Alicia serves as the City Clerk and Municipal Court Clerk, and Donald serves as the Fire Chief of the Willow Springs Fire Department.
The Worleys are moving out of state to be closer to family.
In the fire department, Assistant Fire Chief Vance Farmer will take over the leadership role until the next regular election.
At City Hall, City Administrator Beverly Hicks has taken steps to cover both of clerk positions. “Heather Duddridge is working with [Alicia] now and has had some prior experience, especially in the court system, as she previously worked for Privette Law Office for many years,” said Hicks in an email to Howell County News, “I will be recommending to the council in December to appoint her as the new City Clerk and then wait until sometime in January to assess the needs of the office regarding employment.”
The Worleys’ last day with the City will be December 11.
