City of Mtn. View Reports Impact Numbers from Utility Pole Accident

A semi-truck that snagged on a power line on the afternoon of September 10 caused power outages to hundreds of Mountain View residents that day, reported City Clerk Courtney McDaniel. Specifically, about 250 utility customers experienced an outage that lasted roughly three hours. 
City crews were working on the utility pole until 8:00 or 9:00 p.m. that night, but service was restored by 4:15. According to police records, the crash took place at 1:20 p.m.
