CRASH IN FRONT OF WSHS
A two-vehicle collision took place Monday morning at the intersection of Fourth and Ferguson outside Willow Springs High School, confirms the Willow Springs Police Department. A 911 call reported the call at 7:50 a.m. According to preliminary information, the crash was caused by a vehicle traveling westbound that failed to yield at the intersection and struck a pick up truck that was traveling northbound. After the collision, the westbound vehicle rolled backwards into a utility pole. There were no utility service interruptions.
Police are not prepared to release the names of the drivers at this time, but report that there were no students involved. Willow Springs Ambulance and Fire Department responded, but the parties suffered only minor injuries, according to Police Chief Wes Ellison.
