Drugs, Credit Cards Seized

Officer David Hocking of the Willow Springs Police Department stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on January 4 at approximately 6:50 p.m. According to a press release, Officer Hocking soon discovered that the subject, a male from Springfield, had an active warrant for his arrest issued by Greene County. 
While conducting a search of the suspect, Officer Hocking discovered approximately 13 grams of methamphetamine packaged in several small plastic packages. Multiple syringes, a set of scales, straws, and numerous credit cards were also seized. 
Formal charges have not been filed as of press time. Charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia are expected to issue. Meanwhile, the suspect remains in custody.
