Fatal crash on Freedom Rd.

A Willow Springs man died in a single-vehicle crash on Dec. 12 on Freedom Rd. six miles north of Willow Springs. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Natthanael T. Giese, 34, failed to negotiate a curve while driving a Dodge Ram. He traveled off the left side of the road, overcorrected, ran off the right side of the road, where he collided with an embankment. The truck overturned and ejected the driver. Giese was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash – 9:45 p.m.
Giese was pronounced deceased at 10:19 p.m. by Texas County Coroner Marie Lasater and was transported from the scene to Willow Springs Funeral Home, LLC.
